The Hudson Riverfront Performing Arts Center (HRPAC) will be presenting the final entry in their free “Summer Concerts on the Hudson series this summer on Monday, Aug. 29, and attendees to the Lincoln Harbor Park venue in Weehawken will be graced with a doozy.
“Broadway on the Hudson” will feature Broadway stars like Tony nominee Vivian Reed, Kyle Scatliffe, who currently appears in “The Color Purple,” and Ashley Brown (star performer of the original “Mary Poppins”), as well as fifteen other singers and dancers. The show will be hosted by Emmy winner Nancy Giles.
“Broadway on the Hudson” is being directed and choreographed by Scott Thompson; and Fred Barton is the musical director. Together the pair has collaborated on three previous entries of, what according to Sherman, is one of HRPAC’s most popular concerts of any given year.
The free concert takes place Monday, Aug. 29, 7 p.m. at Lincoln Harbor Park in Weehawken, on the left bank of the Hudson River. Visit www.hrpac.org for more information.
