A Tribute to Frank Hatchett & A Benefit for the Dunbar Community Center

On October 8th and 9th, Dunbar Community Center will be holding a very special fundraising event to support programming at the Dunbar. One of Dunbar’s alums, Mamie Duncan Gibbs, who went on to perform on Broadway, is returning to Springfield with some of her NYC friends to perform in a Broadway review at Symphony Hall. The show will begin at 3:00 pm. on October 9th. There will also be a cocktail party at the Basketball Hall of Fame on Saturday night, October 8th. Tickets for the weekend, with a discount if you buy tickets for both Saturday night and Sunday, are available at the website: foreverdunbar.org.

Featured performers coming from Broadway to Springfield include two-time Tony nominee Vivian Reed, Sondra Bonitto, Michael-Denby Cain, Ben Cameron, Gretchen Palmer, Savoy Bailey, the William Brothers and Jimmy Tate. Also, a local popular performer, Vanessa Ford, is on the program.
